<p>In this study finite element analyses of rod extrusion process are carried out considering various processing parameters. The objective is to study the effect of these parameter on mechanical properties. Eighty one cases are simulated and corresponding stress; plastic strain and load distribution are critically examined. Based on these results, salient conclusions are drawn.</p>
