Dr. Pradeep L. Menezes is an assistant professor at Mechanical Engineering, University of Nevada Reno (UNR), USA. He received his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Science (IISC), Bangalore, India in Materials Engineering. After his Ph.D., he worked as post-doctoral researcher at Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, University of Pittsburgh and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). After his post-doctoral woks, Dr. Menezes accepted the assistant professor position at UNR. In addition to teaching, he has published three books, 27 book chapters, 80 journal articles and 75 conferences articles (citations over 2600, h-index – 28). He has also served as Associate Editor, Editorial board member, Journal reviewer for over 50 journals, Conference paper reviewer, Book and book chapters reviewer, grant reviewer, Conference review committee, Conference technical committee, Masters and Ph.D. theses examiner, Poster competition judge, Session chair in conferences, Convener of tribology consortium at UWM, Undergraduate and graduate project supervisor. His research interests are tribology, surface engineering, tribocorrosion, green and bio manufacturing, multifunctional bio-based hybrid lubricants, smart shoe-floor tribology, self-lubricating composite materials, Rock drilling technology, Explicit finite element modeling, tribology in bio medical engineering. He teaches Mechanical Design, Surface Engineering and Introduction to Tribology at UNR.
