About the award

Material Science Research India instituted an annual Best Paper Award to celebrate outstanding research.

As we know that along with creating amazing research, researchers put immense efforts and time behind the scenes for bringing the life-changing research at the forefront of the audience mind. The BEST PAPER AWARD is to provide the recognition to early career researchers who are fantastic at communicating their scientific work to the public, going above and beyond the publication of their academic advances.

The Award will be given annually to the top three papers for three different subject areas. All the three recipients of the award will receive a certificate and different amount of prize money respectively for the high-impact publication.

Sponsorship

This award is sponsored by Dr. Syed Aftab Iqbal who is Ex-Director, Crescent College of Technology, Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal, India having an experience of 35 years of P.G teaching and conducting research on coordination, environmental and drug chemistry since three decades. He has produced 21 Ph. D(s) on various thrust areas of chemistry and at present supervising six candidates, engaged in research for their Ph.D. degree. He is the author and co-author of about 22 books and has a credit of the publication of more than 120 research papers of chemistry. He is Chief Editor of Oriental Journal of Chemistry as well as Executive Editor of 10 International Peer-Reviewed Research Journals. He has presented more than 50 research papers in National and about 10 research papers in International Conferences. He is the reviewer of a number of International Journals and publishers viz; Elsevier, Journal of Saudi Chemical Society, Arabian Journal of Chemistry, PCSIR, Asian Journal of Chemistry, Current World Environment, Biomedical, and Pharmacology Journal, etc.

Dr. Iqbal is the life member and fellow of a number of research and academic societies. He has recently founded an International Chemical Society entitled Researchers Society of Chemical Sciences, India as a founder president. Dr. Iqbal is also working for the Society for Human Welfare and Environment Protection (NGO) since last fifteen years.

Selection Committee

The selection of paper will be done by the Evaluation Committee of four members including the chief Editor and two more editors. Each eligible paper will be read by all members of the evaluation committee and evaluated against the criteria mentioned below. Members of the Selection Committee shall decline to evaluate papers if they have the following special relationships with the author(s) of the papers considered: relatives, students, colleagues, and co-authors. Selection committee choses the best paper out of all of the papers published in a given year in the Journal. Every author who has a paper published in the journal is a candidate for the award in a given year. The final decision will be given by Editor-in-Chief ( Dr. Satyabrata Jit , Professor and Head Department of Electronics Engineering Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi-221005, India)

Selection Process

In selecting the winner, the editors will reflect the ambitions to combine the perspectives of professionalism and organization and take into consideration the technical quality of the paper, the contribution to theory, and the empirical significance of the paper’s findings. They will also consider such factors as innovation, significance to the research community, impact, and the clarity of presentation. The selection of paper will be done in a way that initially during the review process reviewers will recommend the paper which is eligible for the award, and then that paper will be given score by Evaluation committee members, based on the criterion. The score allocated to each paper by each member will then sum up and then the highest scoring papers will be selected for the “BEST PAPER AWARD” category wise. The final decision will be taken by Editor-in-Chief.
